I'll be honest with you...I didn't watch a lot of the Super Bowl. I half paid attention to the first half of the game, spent most of the time packing up my stuff to head back down to Madison and only sort of watched the commercials. I wasn't that impressed. I watched half time and it was really good - one of the best half time shows in quite a few years now. After half time I packed up the car and drove down to Madison so that I wouldn't hit all of the drunk traffic. I missed the blackout - Shaun had to text me about it. But when I got back to my apartment, after the game was over and football season had officially ended for another year, I checked my Facebook and saw that my husband had posted this on my wall:
And there were tears. Shaun is a farmer and he is all of these things and more. He is at once one of the strongest men that I know, but also one of the most compassionate and kind. He might be a little rough around the edges, but he is more than I coud have ever asked for.
He is a farmer. He and his profession are extremely under-appreciated, and I was super impressed with this Dodge ad. It also makes me miss him even more than I already do.

This was an awesome commercial and farmers are completely under-appreciated. Living in Wisconsin, I went to high school/college with many people who's families farm (heck even my grandparents farmed when my mom was growing up).
I LOVED this one! I was sad to see some people saying it was "too much" which I completely disagree with. I thought it was so good. I feel like a lot of the commercials this year were meant to tug at the heartstrings!
There are many touching pictures in that ad. I agree that farmers are under-appreciated.
This was one of my favorite Super Bowl commercials I've seen in a long time. Truly inspirational.
